If you think your immune system could do with a boost then this could be one very simple yet very effective way to do it.

Bramley apples

Ingredients

  • 6 Bramley cooking apples (you may prefer others – use organic if possible)
  • Half a cup of water
  • Half a cup of raisins or sultanas
  • Two teaspoons of cinnamon

Instructions

Peel and core the apples.  Slice them into evenly sized pieces.

Put the apples, water, raisins/sultanas and cinnamon into a saucepan, and cook for approximately 15 minutes (stir frequently), until the edges of the apples have become soft and they all look very well coated by the cinnamon.

Divide into containers and eat warm or cold.  Can be eaten daily as part of breakfast or a snack.
